The LOC Method for Natural AND Relaxed Hair

Hello beautiful people, I recently found out about this cool new moisturizing method from some videos I watched on Youtube and I thought it would be nice to tell all you guys about it!!

Basically, LOC is an acronym for Leave-in Oil Cream or Liquid Oil Cream, which perfectly describes this method.
As some of you know, natural hair can be very absorbent, crying out for more moisture even when just thirty minutes ago, you washed it; the good thing about this method is it gives your hair moisture that lasts for longer.

Steps
1. LIQUID:Wash your hair (with cold water, not hot water) or just spray dry hair with water, natural hair is easiest to manipulate when it is wet so that's why you must either wash it or spray it. If you wash it, do the method before your hair dries. However, feel free to put leave in conditioner in your hair, or whatever mixes you guys use, just as long as there is water in your hair.

2. OIL:Now we must add oil to your hair to seal in all the moisture from the water and conditioner. Oil can only do it's job on wet hair, if oil is applied to dry hair, it just stays on the surface, unable to penetrate the hair shaft.Examples of effective hair oils include coconut, argan, jojoba, avocado and extra virgin olive oil. Also, feel free to make your own oil mixes.

TIP: Use heavier oils such as castor oil during the colder seasons for more moisture retention and opt to use lighter oils during the warmer seasons.

3. CREAM: Applying cream to your hair is the final step in the method. Some people choose to substitute cream with a styling product such as gel or mousse. Just use a cream or gel that works best with your hair, I personally use Carrot or Coconut Cream for the best results.

*If you try this method and it's not working for you, keep trying but use different oils and creams until you find the ones with the results you are looking for.
**And remember, this method isn't just for people with natural hair, people with relaxed hair can use it too!!
